Presentation Title
Can You Measure the Effectiveness of Ozone Therapy?
The Endothelial Glycocalyx: Measuring, Restoring, and Monitoring Microvascular Health
Speaker Biography
Professor Hans Vink, PhD, is one of the world's leading authorities on the endothelial glycocalyx and its role in vascular biology, microcirculation, and chronic disease. For more than three decades, his pioneering research has advanced scientific understanding of the glycocalyx and its importance in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease, inflammation, healthy aging, and regenerative medicine. His work continues to shape the emerging field of objective microvascular assessment and glycocalyx restoration.
Professor Vink served as Associate Professor of Vascular Physiology at Maastricht University from 2006 to 2021 and previously held the appointment of Full Professor of Circulatory Physics at the University of Amsterdam.
He founded GlycoCheck BV, a Maastricht University Medical Center spin-off that developed the first clinically available technology for non-invasive assessment of endothelial glycocalyx integrity and microvascular function.
Today, Professor Vink serves as Founder and Chief Science Officer of the Glycocalyx Research Institute, GlycoCheck US, and Genesis Health Sciences, where he continues to lead research focused on measuring, restoring, and maintaining endothelial glycocalyx health.
About This Presentation
Can objective measurement improve the way clinicians evaluate ozone therapy?
Professor Hans Vink will explore the critical role of the endothelial glycocalyx in vascular biology and explain how advances in microvascular imaging are allowing practitioners to measure, monitor, and restore endothelial health.
Attendees will learn how glycocalyx assessment may provide valuable insights into treatment response, disease progression, and the effectiveness of regenerative therapies, including ozone therapy. This presentation bridges cutting-edge vascular science with practical clinical application, offering a new perspective on objective outcome measurement in integrative medicine.
